We are thrilled to announce that Insider Media has named us Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m) at the Made in the North East Awards! This prestigious recognition is a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation, quality, and excellence in the manufacturing sector. Winning this award is a proud moment for our entire team, whose dedication and hard work have been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
Over the past year, we have launched several pioneering products, including SPARTAN Recess, a revolutionary solution for recessed lighting in hazardous areas, and Mid Power Emergency, an emergency variant of our Mid Power Flood and Bay luminaires. Our advancements in smart lighting solutions have led to DALI 2.0 compatibility across key product lines. At the same time, VARIO2 IP integration with the MOBOTIX HUB System has set new standards for security lighting. Beyond product innovation, we have made significant contributions to industry education, publishing resources such as Lighting for Land Rigs, a detailed application focus, and The Meaning of ‘X’ on ATEX Certificates, providing essential compliance guidance. We also pushed boundaries with creative demonstrations like SPARTAN vs Ice Hockey, highlighting our products’ durability under extreme conditions.
Sustainability remains a core focus, and our ADSA Prized Wildlife Certification recognises our commitment to designing eco-friendly lighting solutions that protect coastal wildlife, including sea turtles. Equally important is our role in workforce development and community engagement in Ashington, where we have actively supported young talent through Taster Mornings, work experience placements, and our collaboration with Northumberland College to promote careers in manufacturing. Our commitment to growth is further reflected in our record-breaking recruitment, welcoming 24 new team members last year.
