SPARTAN Range: Now DALI 2.0 Ready!
Raytec is excited to announce the availability of DALI 2.0 in several of its SPARTAN and WARRIOR product lines. This upgrade offers improved interoperability, expanded features, and enhanced functionality, making it the ideal choice for modern lighting solutions. What is DALI?
A Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) is a digital communication protocol that allows a group of luminaires to be controlled together or independently, using a master interface known as a Central Management System (CMS). As luminaires can be grouped and controlled together, an entire installation can be controlled remotely using a single CMS (which can be downloaded to a PC or other devices). For example, luminaires can be automatically dimmed during daylight hours, or the brightness increased for specific shift patterns.
DALI 2.0.
DALI 2.0 offers enhanced interoperability, along with a range of new features and functions, including advanced sensing and data gathering capabilities. With its two-way communication, DALI 2.0 allows devices to report their status and provide detailed diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance across the system. In addition, DALI 2.0 supports improved device management with standardised device types and extended functionalities, enabling more complex and flexible lighting applications.
As a certified member of the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA) and fully compliant with the IEC 62386 standard, DALI 2.0 guarantees seamless integration and interoperability with other devices in a DALI ecosystem. Importantly, only devices that have achieved DALI 2.0 certification can legally use the DALI trademark, ensuring that they meet the high standards of quality, compatibility, and reliability required for smart lighting systems. With features for dimming, monitoring, and energy management, DALI 2.0 is the ideal choice for forward-thinking, scalable lighting solutions.

Raytec now offers DALI 2.0 on non-emergency variants within the following SPARTAN and WARRIOR product ranges:
- Recess: Dali 2.0 as standard
- High Power Flood and Bay: Dali 2.0 as standard
- Linear: Dali 2.0 as an option
- Bulkhead BL24: Dali 2.0 as an option
- Flood BL24: Dali 2.0 as an option
We are also excited to announce that within the next 12 months, we expect DALI 2.0 functionality to be available on emergency variants, expanding the scope and flexibility of DALI in all lighting applications.
