2025: Year in Focus
2025 was a truly special year for Raytec. We celebrated 20 years in business and reached a milestone that perfectly reflected that journey- £20 million in sales for the first time in our history.
It was a year defined by innovation, dedication, and growth. We showcased our expertise on a global stage by attending exhibitions from Las Vegas to Abu Dhabi and were proud to be named Manufacturer of the Year by Insider Media. We also strengthened the Raytec family through the acquisition of EPS and Atexor Oy, with the latter marking the largest acquisition in our history.
Together, these achievements have set the stage for an ambitious and exciting 2026. But before looking ahead, let’s take a closer look at the highlights that made 2025 truly unforgettable.
20 years of Raytec
Reaching 20 years in business is a milestone that reflects not just longevity, but the people, passion, and progress that have shaped Raytec along the way. To mark this special anniversary, we took time to celebrate our journey and most importantly, our people.
Closer to home, we brought the Raytec community together for a family day in Ashington, near our headquarters. Staff and their families joined us for a day filled with laughter, connection, and celebration- an opportunity to recognise the support systems behind our team and celebrate the sense of family that defines Raytec.
Later in the year, the celebrations continued with a dedicated staff party in Newcastle. This more formal evening gave us the chance to celebrate the milestone together, reflect on shared successes, and recognise the collective effort that has driven Raytec forward over the past two decades.

Growing the Raytec family
2025 marked a significant step forward for Raytec with the addition of two strategic acquisitions that strengthened our capabilities and expanded our reach.
We acquired the assets of Electronic Process Solutions (EPS), a contract electronics manufacturing company based in Blyth, Northumberland, enhancing our in-house manufacturing capacity and operational flexibility.
We also welcomed Atexor Oy, a Finnish specialist in portable ATEX and IECEx lighting. As the largest acquisition in Raytec’s history, this move broadened our product portfolio and reinforced our commitment to delivering high-performance lighting solutions for hazardous locations worldwide.
Together, these additions reflect our continued growth and long-term vision for the Raytec family.
Awards and Recognitions
Last year, we were proud to be recognised for our innovation, and excellence through several awards.
We were named Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m) at Insider Media’s Made in the North East Awards.
Our dedication to green initiatives earned us the Net Zero Innovation Award at the HazardEx Awards.
We were also finalists at the PSI Awards, Benchmark Innovation Awards and at the GIT Security Awards.

EPD Certification
At Raytec, we are committed to delivering high-quality lighting solutions while keeping sustainability at the forefront. We were proud to announce that our SPARTAN Linear range achieved an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), reinforcing our dedication to sustainability and transparency.
Our SPARTAN & WARRIOR Linear range, known for its durability and performance, in hazardous areas has successfully met the rigorous criteria required for EPD certification. This certification ensures that every product delivers both high quality and a reduced environmental footprint.
For our customers, EPD certification means confidence and transparency. It demonstrates that our products are manufactured with careful attention to environmental impact, helping installers and end-users make sustainable choices without compromising on performance or aesthetics. Choosing SPARTAN Linear now contributes to a more responsible and eco-friendly future.
