Today, we are excited to share that Raytec have been shortlisted for two prestigious awards at Insider’s Made in the North East Awards!
1. Export Award
Raytec has had an outstanding year in 2025, delivering high-performance and certified solutions across hazardous, industrial, security, and transport sectors with 68% of revenue generated from exports to 41 countries worldwide.
Surpassing £20 million in sales for the first time, Raytec have accelerated international growth through strategic acquisitions, including Atexor Oy and EPS, strengthening both our product portfolio and supply chain capability. With UK-based manufacturing, in-house testing technology, and award-winning innovation, we continue to expand across Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and Australasia, exemplifying British manufacturing excellence around the world.
2. Engineering Manufacturer of the Year
Raytec designs and manufactures high-performance LED lighting for hazardous, industrial, security, and transport environments, delivering both standard and bespoke solutions tailored to safety-critical applications. Our bespoke products, designed to meet specific customer requirements, accounted for 23% of sales in the last financial year.
Significant investment in in-house PCBA capability, automated inspection, and automated end-of-line testing has strengthened quality, resilience, and scalability. Our smart production systems ensure 100% product testing prior to dispatch, capturing fully traceable performance data to verify safety, compliance, and reliability while reducing risk.
Innovation is driven by real-world customer needs, supported by in-house photometric testing, including advanced goniophotometer capability, enabling rapid design improvements through repeated testing and optimising light performance for demanding applications. Embedded cyber security and smart production technologies position Raytec at the forefront of compliant, future-ready lighting solutions in the region.
