2024 has been an incredible year for Raytec. We’ve introduced exciting new products to the market, travelled the globe to attend inspiring exhibitions, and connected with new and long-standing customers.

Great Year for Product Innovation
SPARTAN Recess
August saw the launch of our brand-new Recess luminaire, a ground-breaking solution for recessed lighting in hazardous areas. This one-of-a-kind range of luminaires has been designed from the ground up to offer a range of benefits, including multiple variant sizes to suit various ceiling applications, easy installation and maintenance, a lightweight design for convenient handling, and a selection of beam patterns to optimise light distribution. SPARTAN Recess is designed to meet the unique demands of hazardous environments, providing reliable and efficient illumination while meeting major safety standards.

SPARTAN Mid Power Emergency
In addition to the SPARTAN Recess launch, we enhanced our existing Mid Power Flood & Bay range by adding Intelligent Emergency options. Available in 90-minute and 180-minute duration variants, as standard, the Mid Power Emergency luminaires deliver up to 4,000 lumens in emergency mode for the 90-minute variant, ensuring critical visibility when you need it most.

VARIO2 PSU
When deploying lighting for video surveillance, efficiency, reliability, and adaptability are paramount. Addressing these needs head-on, Raytec proudly presented the latest innovation in our VARIO2 series: the VARIO2 Power Supply Unit (PSU). Designed to seamlessly power all VARIO2 illuminators, including the outstanding VARIO2 IP PoE, this PSU allows security professionals to deploy a fully integrated lighting system from Raytec.

DALI 2.0
In November, we were pleased to launch DALI 2.0 on several of our SPARTAN & WARRIOR product lines. With DALI 2.0, you can experience greater control, efficiency, and flexibility in your lighting systems. The upgrade offers improved interoperability, expanded features, and enhanced functionality, making it the ideal choice for modern lighting solutions.

SPARTAN vs. Ice Hockey
In May, we launched our brand-new video; SPARTAN vs. Ice Hockey, where we put our SPARTAN Linear to the test against a burly hockey player. Raytec SPARTAN products are built to be highly durable and suitable for the most extreme environments. But can it withstand the bone-chilling cold of the ice rink, razor-sharp blades of hockey skates, and the thundering speed of a hockey puck?

Launch of the German website!

In August, we said an official hello to our German customers with the launch of our new German website, bringing our award-winning LED lighting closer to our German-speaking customers. Raytec & the Environment
Carbon Neutrality
After achieving Carbon Neutrality in 2023, Raytec has continued working towards our mission of growing and expanding responsibly. As part of our Carbon Neutrality Initiative, we have proudly invested in global and local reforestation efforts by purchasing Carbon Credits. Enabling us to support the ‘El Arriero’ project, an afforestation initiative transforming degraded grasslands in Uruguay. Closer to home, we reinforced our commitment to the environment by contributing to a reforestation project in Widdrington, Northumberland.
ADSA Prized Wildlife Certification
Additionally, our dedication to environmental stewardship earned our products the prestigious ADSA Prized Wildlife Certification in Australia. This recognition highlights our efforts to protect coastal wildlife, including sea turtles, by designing lighting solutions that minimize disruptions to their natural habitats. This achievement reflects Raytec’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding ecosystems and preserving the natural beauty of night skies across Australia.
Recruitment
We’ve had a record year for recruitment, we’ve added 24 new starters across the business in various roles from the Marketing Team to Quality, Shop Floor engineers and more and we’re still going!
