850nm is the standard wavelength for Raytec luminaires, however, the range varies from 780 nm and 1 mm.

Infra-Red Illuminators help CCTV cameras to capture clear images at night or in low-light conditions. The use of Infra-Red can significantly improve the performance of a surveillance system. While Infra-Red light is invisible to the human eye, security cameras are highly sensitive to certain wavelengths of IR. Take a look at some of our Infra-Red products here.

LED’s are more efficient as they do not produce as much heat, so the energy focus is primarily on the light. Also, Raytec use Optics and beam angles which directs the light exactly where needed  no loss of light. Not only this but LED’s  can run up to around 100,000 hours which beats any other bulbs lifespan. 

Lumens measure the total amount of visible light to the human eye from a lamp or light source. The higher the lumens, the brighter the light. You’ll find lumen output figures on all of our products listed on our website, or in the specifications on our product datasheets.
